2020 Bishop’s Holiday Dinners Volunteer Registration
Each year, we distribute and serve over 4,000 meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas to the elderly and individuals with disabilities who may otherwise go without a holiday meal – we could not do this without our volunteers. As the Holiday Season is approaching, we must keep in mind those who may not be as fortunate to have family and friends to share a holiday meal with.
We at Catholic Charities are so grateful every year for all of you who volunteer to help make this season special for those less fortunate. Your time and commitment makes it possible for a joyous holiday to be enjoyed by all.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be hosting the sit-down portion of the dinner at the Cathedral at St. Paul. Instead, there will be a breakfast for homeless individuals and families held at St. John’s Food for the Poor.
This year, we are encouraging all of our volunteers to register online. With the impact of COVID-19 we are expecting fewer volunteers, so your help is greatly appreciated. In order to protect our volunteers, staff, and meal recipients, we will be following all COVID-19 safety guidelines. Volunteers will pick up their delivery route and packaged meals drive-through style from St. Peter’s Catholic Elementary School, so they will not need to exit their vehicle.
Take the entrance at 10 Hammond Street, Worcester, MA to the back of St. Peter’s Catholic Elementary school. Then, take a right into the gym parking lot. Volunteers will be there to direct you.
More details on volunteering will be sent via email. If you have any questions please call 508-798-0191 or email email@example.com. Thank you!
